Photozine & Print Day - success!

TURNER HOUSE Gallery was the perfect venue for the Photozine & Print Day yesterday (Saturday 20 Sept) in Penarth, the latest in the series of SIGNATURES events from Offline that put a focus on photography publishing and self-publishing in Wales and beyond.
The free event was spread across the lower and upper galleries in Turner House, with sixteen tables manned by photographers showing and selling their work in self-published photozines and photographic print forms.
It was great to see visitors at the event both purchasing work and also spending time chatting with the photographers. The photographic work on show was of a very high standard, with several photographers offering unique prints—small and large—made specially for the event at VERY keen prices!

Meanwhile, the Offline Journal table had the current issue #014 available along with a selection of back-issues - all at reduced prices for the event. Also on show was a preview copy of the new CHAOTIC publication - a collaboration between Offline and seven photographers who have agreed to share new projects still underway.
CHAOTIC is A4 in size with 48-pages plus additional 28-page text inserts, full colour, with thread-sewn binding. (Published Sept 2025, and will now start shipping the week commencing 29 September).

There are a limited number of copies of CHAOTIC #1 available for pre-order, at the same reduced price offered to attendees at yesterday's event, until midnight tonight (Sunday 21 September 2025) - at £16 with free P&P – via the button below. Copies of the current issue of Offline Journal and back-issues are also available at reduced prices until midnight tonight!
Be sure to use the code CHAOS25 at checkout to have £3 knocked off your order for a copy of CHAOTIC for free P&P.

My sincere thanks go to all the talented photographers who took up the offer of a free table to show and sell their work as photozines and prints. And massive thanks also go to Jane and Lewis at the wonderful Turner House Gallery in Penarth for hosting the event during their 2025 Open Exhibition (go see it!), and their colleagues at Penarth Town Council for supplying the tables for the event.
Look out for information on future SIGNATURES events covering photography books and self-publishing here on offline.wales and the monthly Newsletters.
If you're interested in photozines and photobooks then there are more events coming in October!
I'll be taking The Box of Zines collection up to Colwyn Bay Saturday 4 - Sunday 5 October for The Northern EYE Festival in Colwyn Bay, which will also have London-based The Photocopy Club attending with their IN TRANSIT project – a travelling zine library and photographic exhibition space, and will be running free ZINE MAKING drop in sessions for festival attendees. The following weekend down south, BOP Bristol 25 will run Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 October on the Paintworks site in Bristol (where Newport's Clwb Ffoto will have a table). And Ffotogallery are hosting their next Photo Book Fair in Cardiff 12-5pm on Saturday 25 October, where Offline Journal will again have a table and be bringing along The Box of Zines.
I understand there are a couple of tables still available for the Ffotogallery event should anyone have work they'd be interested in showing/selling on the day.
