Hello again

Welcome to the first of new and refreshed Offline Journal Newsletters (although 48 hours later than planned due to a small and frustratingly elusive technical glitch, now fixed!). Thanks for your patience.

Going forward, Newsletters (free and new subscription) will carry the date in the title for easier reference. With a cleaner design and feel, the Newsletters can now provide links to related articles, essays and interviews on the Offline Journal website. Other changes are mainly technical but suffice to say, this Newsletter has been revamped to more closely integrate with the website and, combined, they'll share more timely news on photography around Wales.

As before, anyone—anywhere in the world—can sign up for the free monthly Newsletter which will now carry information on a current or upcoming photography exhibition or event in Wales, whilst also having access to the regularly updated Exhibitions & Events listings page on the website. However, should any free Subscriber now wish to access full Newsletter content, in-depth articles, interviews and other content on www.offline.wales, they can easily choose from two tiers of online access for a low month by month Subscription or, by choosing to pay annually, save money and receive two months free. Give it a try!

AN EYE FOR AN EYE - opening 9th August

With The EYE International Photography Festival once again gearing up for its Speaker Weekend October, Newport's CLWB FFOTO is hosting a special exhibition and adorning its gallery walls with prints by photographers who participated as guests in previous EYE festivals.

Launching with an opening event on Saturday 9 August, the exhibition will include work by award-winning Italian photojournalist Danilo Balducci, Magnum Photos' Matt Black, Anita Corbin and Marco Longari, amongst others.
