New projects in-progress by
seven photographers shared in print, then discussed with reader audiences online
An experimental photography publication, published annually
What is the CHAOTIC PROJECT?
The CHAOTIC project is comprised of two parts; the first being the collaboration between Offline Journal and a cohort of seven featured photographers to select and present new project work in a printed book form. The second component is a series of online discussion sessions where each photographer outlines the impetus and status of the project, before inviting questions and feedback from readers who have supported the project by purchasing a copy of the printed outcome.
CHAOTIC 1
Published 20 September 2025
An Offline Journal collaboration with Marc Arkless, Nate Davies, Mohamed Hassan, David Mayne, Bartosz Nowicki, Owen Pritchard, and Tamsin Stirling.
The first issue of CHAOTIC was published 20 September 2025, showcasing work from seven early stage projects by the participating photographers over 48 pages in a A4 hand-stitched document.

CHAOTIC ONLINE DISCUSSIONS
Following the fourth CHAOTIC online discussion when a date is confirmed, the recording of that session will be added here with the three other videos below.
(Apologies in advance, but I completely forgot to press record – only realising this halfway through, which means Owen Pritchard's presentation is the only one not recorded. Sorry again Owen!)
